Marty was born and raised in the Appalachian Coalfields in Richlands, VA. His family taught him the value of Faith, Family, and Hard Work, at a young age.
After high school, Marty attended Appalachian State earned a BS in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. Initially he wanted to pursue a career in federal law enforcement, but God had other plans, and he began his career in fitness in NC in 2002.
He ventured from NC to Nashville in 2003, and for 10 years he built and managed national personal training, health, and fitness enterprises for large gym and athletic club organizations. In 2013, he felt called to make a shift into healthcare, and he began working on new ventures to help more people.
His transition to healthcare came when he saw the reality of a broken system with rapidly rising costs and no quick fixes, but Marty believed the Biblical principles of transparency, honesty, and caring for all people should be the cornerstone.
With these Biblical principles in mind, Ignite Healthcare, "Shining the Light on Affordable Access to Healthcare", was launched in 2021, to offer a digital ecosystem of healthcare products that not only help people save money but also help people receive great care.

Corey’s success in managing and reducing benefit costs took him all over America, but he finally discovered his true calling in 2011. He was connected to our CEO, Marty Lotito, through his neighbor. Marty and Corey discussed Marty’s vision for wellness programs, and Corey was fully on board. When Marty and Corey talked, Corey had already taken a job in another state for a large Fortune 10 company. Marty’s vision wasn’t fully developed. So, he and Marty continued to strategize over the next few years on the right approach, and in late 2019 Corey fully joined Ignite as its COO. Corey is excited about what the future holds, and he’s committed to seeing the success of the Ignite brand as well “Shine the light on affordable access to healthcare”!
